MESSAGE from HEAD COACH PAT
Thanks to all of the volunteers at the spaghetti dinner and congratulations to all those athletes recognized!!
Congratulations to Rostam Turner who was named Kelowna's Male Athlete Of the Year at the Civic Awards Ceremony on May 5th.
Rostam also recieved a Pacific Sport - Sport Hero award on Feb 5th, and was named BC Athletics Male Youth athlete of the Year in Dec of 2012.
Congratulations to Taryn O'Neill and Maggie Minkus who have been invited to compete at the International Childen's Summer Games in Windsor, ON in August.
*** please note that the Valley High School Track and Field Championships will take place at the Apple Bowl on Wed May 15th. This may bump our practice time, leading to a later start that day.

Kamloops Centennial Meet Registration Deadline - Wednesday, May 8th, 2013
Athlete Awards and Coaches’ Appreciation Spaghetti Dinner
Tuesday, April 30 at 6 p.m. at the Christ Lutheran church, 2091 Gordon Drive. Tickets are $12 adult $10 athlete $5 child 5 – 10yrs and $30 family (max. 4 people) children 4 and under are free. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Apple Bowl on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 6:20 p.m. until the event. If you or your child were athletes with the Club last year, this event is about celebrating last season’s athletic achievements – from JD to Masters -- and about paying tribute to our many volunteer coaches who devote hundreds of hours to helping our athletes be all they can be. If you are new to the Club family, this is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, learn more about the Club and see firsthand the amazing talent our Club is producing as a result of the high caliber coaches we have been fortunate enough to attract. As always, volunteers are needed and appreciated so if you are willing to help out, please contact kelownatrackmanager@gmail.com There is a volunteer signup sheet in the notice board at the track.

The Okanagan College Half Marathon was held on April 7th. OAC members Veronika Fagan, Cassie Laturnus, Davis Hughes-Geekie, Sean Bergman and Malcolm Minkas ran under the corporate name "Results 4 Life Fitness" and took first place - Congratulations!!
